Back: Tells the unique story of each pet's rescue adoption story.
Lucy (Lucifer): In 2016, the shelter where my mom volunteers was inundated with cats from the South because of massive flooding.
My mom took in Mellie (Ozzy and Lucy’s mom) one month before we put our beloved 18-year-old black cat Dante to sleep. Imagine our surprise two days later when Mellie gave birth to four kittens, two of whom were black. We had planned to adopt two older black cats, but we took the timing of the birth of these kittens as a sign. Our affinity for black cats is several fold, most notably because they are the most overlooked cats in shelters and are often the most abused by humans.
Lucy is a mini Dante, super cuddly and constantly craving attention, she loves nothing more than to curl up in your lap. Now, she is the smaller one and with her doe eyes, it’s no surprise that everyone who meets her falls instantly in love. © Pop of Paper 2017
